INSTALLATION
(continued)
| Step 4 - Workstation
Installation: (For Installation on a network with a Dedicated Windows NT File server) |
| Please note that since you pressed the "Install To Server" button
from a workstation, then it is not necessary to execute the "Install To
Workstation" option on that workstation. The necessary files are
installed and that workstation should be ready to run DaVinci. Simply move
on to the next workstation. |
| 1. | Insert the CD in the Workstation and the
Auto-Run feature should start the Installation process automatically.
However, if it does not auto-start, double-click on My Computer, then
double-click on your CD ROM drive, then Double-click on Install. |
| 2. | The installation process will begin for
the Workstation, installing all the necessary workstation files, including
the BDE and other supporting files. Simply press the Next button when the
Setup Welcome screen appears. |
| 3. |
At the end of the install process, if you are asked to Re-boot your computer, answer NO, otherwise, the necessary files will not be loaded and you will have to reinstall on the workstation. After pressing the Finished button at the end
of Installation, you will be asked to locate the program. You can either
type in the location of the program, or press the folder button then locate
the program. To select the location, click on the folder button, then find the drive where DaVinci is loaded. Click the + symbol to open it up. |
|
|
Next click on the correct folder name and press
the OK button. |
| 4. | Next, the BDE Setup screen will appear. The default settings is the first option. Everything should already be set, and all you will need to do is press the OK button to setup the BDE. |
